I began my professional career in the stock market as a brokerage supervisor and analyst at the National Stock Exchange. This role gave me a strong foundation and the knowledge that later allowed me to take on various managerial positions in brokerage firms and mutual fund management companies.

I held the position of Financial Manager at brokerage firms and mutual fund companies such as Cathay Valores Puesto de Bolsa and Cathay Sociedad de Fondos de Inversión. I was also responsible for the research, development, and implementation of the international securities trading division at INS Valores Puesto de Bolsa, one of Costa Rica’s leading brokerage firms. During my time there, I served as Capital Markets Development Manager, led the Economic and Market Research Department, and coordinated the brokerage team.

At Mesoamérica, I was part of the founding team behind a new mutual fund company, taking direct responsibility for the development of its operating system for real estate investment funds.

Motivated by technical and intellectual challenges, I transitioned into Risk Management, holding leadership roles in banks, mutual fund companies, and other financial institutions—an area where I have focused my expertise for the past 14 years.

I served as a lecturer at the National University of Costa Rica within the Business Administration program, primarily teaching courses in finance and international finance. I also taught at Fundepos University, where I participated in the training program for pension fund advisors.

Finally, as someone passionate about music, I enjoy playing the guitar and spending time reading about history and religion.
